i guess asking who this self-important film-"critic" is is pointless. a real intellectual will never hesitate to converse with either the Pope or the magbobote in the next corner; with Andy Warhol or Andy Dick, with Quentin Tarantino or Quentin Crisp. Besides, Tarantino, for better or worse, had done much for Asian cinema and/in Hollywood.
And with that attitude, I don't think Godard will give him/her even a sneeze. The French are good at detecting poseurs.
That's what I like about you. You give equal space to a group ofhighschoolers and Bergman. Because at the end of the day, real Art does not seek to place categories and levels, but only seeks to make people think and feel. Write on!

I don't really know how good or bad Quentin Tarantino is but .... perhaps you could have asked the critic: "are you complaining or are you bragging?"

kasalukuyang ini-interview ni "snob" si tarantino ngayon habang nagco-comment ako. i hope walang languange barrier na nagaganap. baka kailangan ni snob ng interpreter, unless marunong mag-bisaya si tarantino.
buti na lang hindi blogger yang high-brow snob na yang nagngangalang.... chuva! =D
Hmm, I think Annamanila is right. The snob sounded more like this, "Eat your heart out! Mamatay ka sa inggit, I'll be interviewing Tarantino. Laban ka?" That's the best definiton of reading between the lines. LOL
