Luz Valdez in translation

Got this via text. Cracked me up the whole day:

“Hindi ka nababagay dito! Dun ka nababagay sa mga taong palara! Sa mga taong nakahiga sa pera!” -- Robin Padilla

“Witchi ikiz najojogay ditrak! De engklachu ikis nabobrogay sa mga broong sholara! Sa mga broong nakajigaztra sa anda!” -- Rustom Padilla

I received that a while ago!

Hmm. Pano kaya nila na-translate yung tagalog text into gay lingo?

if translated into ebonics, does it become angry, defiant? if translated into french does it become romantic? if translated into gayspeak it becomes funny? or because rustom is gay and he becomes funny? granting even that a gay person might have started this text chain and that it is funny within the gay "community", that the politics of gayspeak affords a "minority group" to defend itself from the "mainstream" i still, seriously, don't get the funny part.

RYE! haha, galeng ng new podcast new, kakagutom! spaghetti with corn beef ba naman, yum! :)

KEVIN, hehe, no need for translation, it comes out naturally. gay lingo evolves by the minute! :)

COLDMAN, ey, thanks for dropping by. :)

BEEKTUR, anuba, e sa funny-sounding naman talaga gay lingo a--amazing how all those words evolve. gayspeak is simply zanier-sounding compared to bland straight talk. odabah? :)
