CCP's 'Pasinaya' open-house festival tomorrow

The public is invited to sneak previews of the 2008 performance season at the Cultural Center of the Philippines in "PASINAYA 2008: The CCP Open House Festival" on Sunday, February 3, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., at various CCP venues.

"Pasinaya 2008" features the CCP resident companies and guests artists in 15-20 minute showcases throughout the day. Hands-on workshops, seminars, walking tours, film screenings of the Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival shall be featured on the same day. Free admission is offered to all exhibits in the CCP galleries. There will be food booths, information and marketing displays, and activity stations for audiences of all ages.

The event offers previews of the 2008 season of the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra, UST Symphony Orchestra, Ramon Obusan Folkloric Group, Tanghalang Pilipino, Ballet Philippines, Philippine Ballet Theater, Bayanihan Philippine National Folk Dance Company, Philippine Madrigal Singers and NAMCYA (National Music Competitions for Young Artists).

It offers a unique "See All You Can, Pay What You Can" scheme that allows audiences to view as many shows for a one-time token fee.

A 50-percent discount on ticket purchases for shows slated throughout the year may also be availed only during the festival day. Watch all shows presented by the CCP resident companies and get your program stamped as proof of attendance and avail of a 50-percent discount at any given time throughout the year.
