Overheard (and my reactions)

Girl to boyfriend, in Makati Cinema Square: “Oh. my. god, honey, DVD na raw ang 30 Days of Night, shet, DVD na siya omigod, 30 DAYS OF NIGHHHT!” (...?!)

Friend watching classical concert at Philamlife Auditorium, UN Avenue: “Ay, ganito pala ang opera, high-end biritan.” (Ha? Ah eh...)

Raymond Gutierrez, introducing a segment on SOP: “It's going to be an emotional and heartbreaking constellation of stars...” (Whaddapak? Who writes this stuff?)

Couple behind me queuing for movie tickets at Gateway Mall: (Girl) “Kakainis ka, pag tinatanong kita kung sa'n tayo, lagi na lang ako pinagdi-decide mo. Ikaw naman pumili ngayon!" (Boy) "O SIGE... Ano ba'ng gusto mo?” (Nyahaha!)

Winner ang high-end biritan. In retrospect, that's an accurate statement. Like the biriters, opera singers can just scream their lungs out or deliver something next to divine.

Oy ha, that last one happens to a lot of couples! Hmmm... and siblings, actually. Tapos, if the other person isn't happy with the choice after the movie/restaurant/whatever, s/he has someone else to blame! Josmeh!
