PETA's latest offering, "Saan Ba Tayo Ihahatid ng Disyembre?," features the tandem of Nonon Padilla and Tony Perez, two stalwarts of Philippine theater.
Padilla and Perez started out as young artists working closely with PETA. The former eventually became founding artistic director of Tanghalang Pilipino, while the latter made a name for himself as a writer and playwright.
Their partnership goes a long way, having collaborated on "Sa North Diversion Road" as well as "Oktubre, Noong Tayo'y Nagmamahalan Pa" and "Nobyembre, Noong Akala Ko’y Mahal Kita," the first and second entries in Perez's trilogy of plays. "Saan Ba Tayo Ihahatid ng Disyembre?," once again directed by Padilla, completes the trilogy.
"Disyembre's" cast includes Julienne Mendoza, Jack Yabut, Lex Marcos, Alfred Vargas, Angeli Bayani and Alison Segarra.
The play runs February 6-8, 13-15, 20-22, 27-28; March 1, 6-8, 13-15, 2009 (Friday 2:30 p.m./7:30 p.m., Sat and Sun 10 a.m./3 p.m.) at the PETA Theater Center, Quezon City. For inquiries, call PETA Marketing 4100821 or 0917-8044428, or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
