The course being offered this year is Acting for Teens and Adults.
This course is aimed at students (11 years old and above) who wish to explore the exciting world of Acting and Theater. The students will have classes in acting and improvisation using the Stanislavski-Uta Hagen-devised approach.
This includes sense memory, physical and psychological actions, animal work, relationship exercises, and learning how to build a character.
Work will also include theater games by Viola Spolin, which encourages trust, being part of a team, confidence building, concentration, and developing creativity and imagination.
No previous experience is necessary, but all students are expected to participate fully in the course.
The final showcase will be open to the paying public. Students will be offered the opportunity to explore a wide range of characters and roles for the showcase.
