Donors are encouraged to give the following items: Potable water in sealed bottles or gallon containers, ready-to-eat food that will not expire within the next 6 months, formula milk for infants, children and adult diapers, toiletries, bath items, towels, clean clothing, slippers and other footwear.
Also welcome are sleeping mats, bed linen, pillows, blankets, mosquito nets, generic medicine for colds, cough, diarrhea, fever, hypertension, muscle pain and headaches, and other similar items.
Donations continue to arrive at the Inquirer main office at 1098 Chino Roces Avenue in Makati City, as well as at Inquirer Classifieds branches in Metro Manila.
The branches are at G/F Atrium Building on Makati Avenue in Makati; 5/F Building B SM Megamall on Edsa in Mandaluyong; G/F Trinity Building on Kalaw Avenue in Manila; and St. Anthony's Building on Aurora Boulevard in Cubao, Quezon City.
Groups have partnered with the Inquirer in expanding the relief effort by opening up more channels for accepting donations from different parts of the country.
Donations in cash or checks may be deposited in PS Bank branches across Metro Manila and all provinces.
Checks may be addressed to "INQUIRER ONDOY RELIEF DRIVE," and dropped off at the Inquirer Makati head office.
Cash deposits may be coursed through PS Bank Account No. 111-112002660 for peso deposits and Account No. 111-132000158 for dollar deposits.
Deposits may also be made through special accounts opened for the storm victims under Metrobank Account No. 00720-050130-2 and BPI Account No. 4951-00045-6 under the account name "Philippine Daily Inquirer Inc."
Dropoff points for donations in kind include all McDonalds and PS Bank branches in Metro Manila, all Total gas stations in Luzon, and the RFM Relief Center on Pioneer Street corner Sheridan Street in Mandaluyong City.
Schools, organizations and other groups across the country have also started their own relief efforts.
DHL Express and Wide Wide World Express have offered to pick up packed donations of nonperishable items from these relief collection centers for free until 5:00 p.m. tomorrow.

WWWExpress Retail Network Centers in Metro Manila are open to pick up nonperishable goods for free until Thursday.
All donations will be distributed by the Philippine National Red Cross, Assisi Foundation, Caritas Manila and Gifts and Graces.
DHL Express Corp., WWWExpress Corp., GoNegosyo, PS Bank and the Ronald McDonald House Charities have been gracious contributors to Inquirer's efforts to reach out to the families and individuals displaced by Ondoy.
