Utilizing projections and minimal set and props, the play traces the lifelong correspondence of the serious lawyer Andrew Makepeace Ladd III (Bart Guingona) and the lively, unstable artist Melissa Gardner (Pinky Amador), the story of their relationship gradually unfolding from what is written--and what is left unsaid--in their letters.
Funny bittersweet and romantic, “Love Letters” is a charming gem of a play that has been performed on Broadway and all around the world by such stars as Charlton Heston, Elizabeth Taylor, Matthew Broderick, Debbie Reynolds, Patrick Stewart, Nancy Kwan, James Earl Jones, Bernadette Peters, Rita Moreno, and Jeff Bridges.
In the Philippines, the play has been performed by Menchu Lauchengco-Yulo, Nonie Buencamino, Jaime del Mundo, Liza Infante, Audie Gemora, Miren Alvarez, Chinggoy Alonso, Lara Fabregas, Bituin Escalante and Michael Williams.
