Written in 1902, "La Ronde" portrays 10 characters/archetypes in a daisy chain where the first character leaves his first partner for a second, the second leaves the first for a third, and so on until the tenth character comes full circle by meeting the first character.
This production features Tanghalang Ateneo's roster of young thespians under the direction of BJ Crisostomo (recent Loyola Schools Awardee for Theater Arts).
The creative team also includes production designers Monica Sebial and Sam Quizon, graphics designer and photographer Ella Palileo, sounds designer Miguel de Quiros and lights designer Tony Caw.
"La Ronde" runs May 5-8 and May 11-15 at the Fine Arts Theater of the Gonzaga Building in the Ateneo de Manila University. Performances are at 7 p.m., with a matinee at 2 p.m. on May 8. For inquiries and ticket reservations, call Reggie Aquitaña 0915-1129301.
