Special pre-Halloween show of Rep Children's Theater's The Wizard of Oz, Oct. 28

Philstage's Performing Arts Appreciation Program, through a grant donated by the Telus International Community Board, sponsored 50 children from the Gawad Kalinga community to watch Rep Children's Theater's The Wizard of Oz last Sept. 30.

On October 28, Rep Children's Theater will hold a special pre-Halloween performance of its ongoing production “The Wizard of Oz” at Onstage Greenbelt 1, 2:30 p.m. Audience members who dress up in Halloween costumes will automatically join a raffle for a show package to Repertory Philippines' big musical, “Disney's Camp Rock--The Musical”, to be staged November 16 to December 16.

The package will include four tickets to the show, an autographed copy of the program, a photo opportunity with the cast, and select souvenir items.

The special show comes on the heels of a special performance of “The Wizard of Oz” RCT held last September 30 for more than 400 children whose tickets were sponsored by individuals and organizations.

One such entity was Philstage's Performing Arts Appreciation Program through a grant donated by the Telus International Community Board. The PAAP sponsored 50 children from the Gawad Kalinga community, sponsored by Telus.

This production is an adaptation of the classic story, with wonderful music by Jeanne Bargy and Jim Eiler, and book and lyrics by Jim Eiler. (Please note: This musical adaptation is NOT based on the MGM film starring Judy Garland; it does not include any of the songs from that film.)
